Programs?
When we open the Housing Choice Voucher Program or Welfare to Work waiting

Walk-ins are not accepted and applications will not be completed until
you are given an appointment. This is strictly a telephone wait list.

Can
I look at a unit before I apply?
The Hollywood Housing Authority does not keep units open for viewing.
Our maintenance staff works hard to renovate units as quickly as possible
so that we may call the next person on our list. Once you apply and your
name comes to the top of the list, you will be contacted for a specific
unit. At that time, you may schedule an appointment to view the unit.

How
long is the wait for housing?
The wait on each list varies, and it is impossible to give an amount of
time. It is best that you ask this question at the time you complete your
application so we can try to give you an estimated answer based on where
your application or name is on the waiting list.

Are
there any activities offered in the buildings?
We are pleased you asked! Our elderly building has several activities
including parties, bingo, arts and crafts and game day. There is also
a library for the reading enjoyment of our residents, along with videos
that may also be borrowed. The residents also conduct rummage sales to
raise money in order to subsidize the parties. Our family development
is located adjacent to a park, the elementary school, middle school and
Boys and Girls Club.
